Why are black people sicker and why do they die earlier, then other racial groups?  Many factors likely contribute to the increased morbidity and mortality among black people...It is undeniable, that one of those factors is the care that they receive from their providers.  41% of African Americans have high blood pressure, as compared to 27% of white Americans.  Heart disease and stroke are even higher for African Americans than other races. 

We walk to bring awareness to these diseases and the preventative care needed to combat these afflictions.  Its a family friendly walk around the community of Winnetka, CA. with pitstops along the way with preventative information and free healthy giveaways.  (Examples: Wheat grass shots, sea moss shots, vegan ice cream, power bars, etc). 

There will be a health fair at the end of the walk with booths supplying covid vaccines, hypertension blood tests and other informational handouts, and pamphlets.
