Jamafo: Bringing Jamaican Cuisine to the SFV Jamafo Jamaican Food Xpress is a newcomer to the Valley but they have made a big impression upon the community. Dave and David, two brothers originally from Jamaica, started their business with one thing on their minds, to make Jamaican food "the next big thing." Their plan... Create a simple menu that works for individuals that are new to Jamaican Cuisine; open in the Valley where their brand could stand out from others in the market; and lastly establish a carry out, delivery based business that catered to the on the go cliente. Opened during the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Jamafo caters to the everyday consumer by presenting good quality Jamaican food that's created with love and "good vibes". In just 5 months Jamafo has surpassed the owners expectations, with plans to open two new locations in 2021. So if you're looking for good Jamaican food and you're in the West Valley, Jamafo is the place to go. Black in the Valley creator, Shania Accius recently had a chance to catch up with Jamafo owners Dave and David. Check out the interview below... Meet the Creator Imagine being a part of a community, yet feeling disconnected. That was part of the motivation for Shania Accius to create "Black In The Valley." Started as a private Facebook page for all things black in the San Fernando Valley, Black In The Valley has evolved into a business complete with a website, merchandise, events and advertising services. Its primary purpose is to supply a communal hub for African Americans in the San Fernando Valley. Launched during the government lockdown, Black In The Valley has connected over 3 thousand members by providing them with the support, information and a social outlet to express themselves about all things that effect them as being black in the San Fernando Valley. Whether it's business ideas, social events, dating or just looking for advice on a subject, Black In The Valley is a good resource to supply you with answers.
